Start8 a perfect Start Menu for Windows 8

Despite the blockade imposed by Microsoft to hack to the Start menu and direct access to the Desktop, Stardock continues to work on its Start menu for Windows 8 making it more interesting and integrated with the operating system.

The new version of Start8 almost reaches perfection. It is identical to the Start menu in Windows 7, but the simplicity of the latter adds a shortcut to the Start Screen (top left column) and the options to customize the operation of the hot corner and the Win key on the keyboard. The menu is in the language of the operating system, so if you have a version of Windows 8 in Italian, will be almost entirely in Italian (as you can see in the screenshot above).
 
Using it, in short, you can restore fully the structure and functioning of the menu of Windows 7, or create a custom mix from the Start menu and Metro interface that could help users more routine to become familiar with the new interface of Windows 8. Start8 can be downloaded free of charge from the website of Stardock, but to get the download link you need to enter your e-mail address (or maybe a temporary address, such as YopMail). We do not know if it will remain free even after it has left the beta but for the moment this does not affect us that much.
